Description
MKLUB is a reversible coffee table: one form, two postures. It flips, turns, and redefines itself with a simple gesture. Upright, it’s a grounded surface. Inverted, it becomes something new: lighter, unexpected, playful. Its function doesn’t change, but its spirit does.
The name comes from the Arabic word MKLUB (مقلوب), meaning “upside down.” It’s a word often used in our everyday language: to describe a flipped dish, a sudden change, or something seen from a new angle. It speaks of adaptability, of seeing the same thing differently.
This object was born from that idea: that furniture, like life, can hold more than one shape. Inspired by the intuitive design language of Lebanese homes, where stools become tables, trays become shelves, and nothing is ever just one thing, MKLUB embraces function through flexibility.
MKLUB is minimal yet intentional. It invites the user to play, to shift perspective, to flip it according to need or desire. There is no right way, only your way.
More than a coffee table, MKLUB is a meditation on inversion, on how turning something upside down can reveal something truer, lighter, and even more beautiful.
